RICHARD BRIMER


Richard Brimer was born in Hastings in 1961. After leaving school he completed a photography apprenticeship which began a lifelong passion and career. Working both internationally and in New Zealand, his work is published frequently in magazines including Urbis, Cuisine, New Zealand Architecture, Australian Gourmet Traveller, New Zealand Wine and the Air New Zealand Magazine.

His outstanding reputation is reflected in a lofty list of commercial clients including Craggy Range Winery, Kauri Cliffs and Cape Kidnappers Golf Course, FMG, Accor Hotel Chain, Wairakei Resort, Vomo Fiji, Chateau Tongariro and Hawkes Bay & Taupo Tourism.

A native of Hawkes Bay wine country, Brimer has photographed and published 15 books on wine, food and the arts. He has had solo shows at The Hastings City Art gallery, New Zealand Portrait Gallery in Wellington and Blackbarn gallery in Havelock North.
