Juliet Best celebrates the beauty and moods of New Zealand’s coastlines and landscapes with her artworks. Her paintings include strong horizon lines, highly textured land-forms, and lots of luxuriously illuminating gold-leaf. She is often inspired by New Zealand’s beauty, history and unique geography.
Strong natural palettes, atmospheric tones and a sense of light-play are aspects of her painting process. A key feature in many of the artworks is the use of gold-leaf.
She has many successful dealer gallery solo and group shows to her name. Her artworks are held in private and corporate collections, and in many countries. She is the Artist in Residence for the Life Flight Rescue Helicopter - Life Flight Wellington. Juliet loves spending time with her family and friends, is strongly involved in her community, and loves her work as a New Zealand artist.
