SACRED SPACES... ETERNAL PLACES.

We are delighted to showcase the work of local artist Nycki Crawford. Her paintings radiate a spiritual depth, reminiscent of the mystical essence found in the works of Hilma af Klint and the abstract expressions of Wassily Kandinsky. Each mark she makes represents an elemental form or aspect of her life, woven together into a harmonious whole. Nycki’s paintings speak of fond summer memories, the richness of Aotearoa, and cherished moments.
Marks and colour are used to draw forth, express and reflect the human experience of the world encountered. They are a testament to the wonder, magic and toil of our internal processing. Our sacred space, our eternal place is where we can go to regenerate, recuperate and celebrate the immensity of our experiences.
It is my hope that these works can be experienced as postcards sent from me to you, the viewer from that eternal place I speak of.
