'The core narrative of my exhibition “Rise Of The Tattered” is about hope, for without it, where would we be, especially if we reflect on our history and challenges overcome by humanity. I have always been drawn to real stories about overcoming adversity and a recent article written by Robyn Wynne-Lewis in the Hawkes Bay Today (on the 14th October, 2022) spoke the language for this exhibition. “I don’t mean hope in the sense of Pollyanna-ish wishful thinking, Im talking about hope as an evidenced-based strategy to motivate humans for change. Hope is a better motivator than fear."
