AAS26 ARTIST INFO

Thank you for your interest in our Affordable Art Show 2026. It's definitely the most keenly anticipated event in our exhibition calendar. People queue for hours before the doors open at 3pm then it's all on!

AAS26 intends to encourage the practice of giving art for Christmas. We use it as an opportunity to introduce new artists or encourage existing artists to experiment with new ideas, while keeping prices as low as possible.

This year we're doing things slightly differently. Rather than automatically including every work submitted, we're asking artists to email us a selection of work for consideration. This allows us to create a strong mix of artists, mediums, and price points.

For those who haven’t been involved before, we divide the walls up into three areas based on price. The categories are: Under $500, Under $1,000 and Under $1,500. The most popular (and largest) category is Under $500.

Key dates:

Confirm your participation before Friday 25 September.
Send images of artwork for selection by Monday 2 November. Include price, size, materials.
Deliver artworks to the gallery before Saturday 21 November.
Exhibition opens at 3pm on Sunday 29 November.

What:

Small, well-priced artworks, ideally around 30 cm across.
The maximum artwork price is $1,500.
Artworks must arrive ready to hang with D-rings and string, signed and labelled with dimensions, title, materials and price, attached to the back of the string.
Ideally we would like three pieces from each artist but more or fewer can be discussed.
Provide images of your work (JPGs), cropped and ready for the online catalogue.

Exhibition:

We operate a cash-and-carry system and restock the walls over the course of the exhibition. No holds and no pre-sales.
We will have at least one work by each artist on the wall for the opening.
We would love you to use your socials to help promote the show. We will supply collateral for social media closer to the time.

NOTE: Artists who have not previously exhibited with Muse will need to complete and return an Artist Agreement. You can call in to the gallery to pick one up or we can email one to you.
